So much to catch up on!

We'll start with Halloween....
This year for Halloween, we went down to Shawn and Ashley's house (Jaimee's sister's house) For a Halloween party. We actually celebrated Halloween the night before this year. It was a lot of fun, we played lots of fun Halloween games, had tons of yummy food, and watched a scary movie at the end of the night. We didn't head back to Tyler and Jaimees' house till almost 3 in the morning we were having so much fun! Ryan and I dressed up as Harry Potter and Hermione!! Thanks to my friend Allyx who mailed me all of her Harry Potter gear that she has, Our costumes turned out pretty good. The whole night Ryan really had fun acting like Harry Potter, he was the best at posing for pictures.
Tyler and Jaimee dresses up as bikers! They really fit the biker look, and Tyler was really good at acting his part too. It must be a Griffith boy thing.
Todd and Kimiko were Ninja Turtles! Love the leggings Todd!!
The whole group of girls that were there! There was a pretty good turn out.
I ended up making some spider cupcakes... they looked better than they tasted but they were still good.

We got to decorate a little bit this year since we are no longer living in the basement! We had a lot of fun decorating our window for halloween. Our two pumpkins, usually Ryan wins the pumpkin carving contest... but this year, I WON! Mine is the first one and Ryan's is the other one. Ryan was done carving his in 5 minutes and it took the rest of us probably an hour. We carved pumpkins with our friends Connor and Kylee this year...Pumpkins from left to right: Ali, Kylee, Ryan, and ConnorI know we've said this before but we love our friends Connor and Kylee!!! Recently on October 24th we went down to Salt Lake to see them get sealed to their little boy in the temple. It was the coolest thing I've ever been too... during it I had mixed emotions. They included laughing and crying, their little boy was just the cutest in his little suit they got for him.

My new Obsession!!!

Last night a couple of my friends, Kylee and Shannon, went to this Zumba fitness class.  At first all of us were a little nervous to be making a fool of ourselves in front of people we didn't know.  But it was such a fun experience!   It's an hour of dancing around to music, it doesn't look like it would be too hard.. but 10 minutes into it I was drenched in sweat!  Ever since my first Zumba experience, it's all I can think about all day long and I can't wait till next week to go back!  If you guys find a Zumba class near you to go to, YOU SHOULD GO!  Here's a little clip below of a zumba class, ours involved more shakin' your booty.

Aren't you excited!

Mad Hatter Party!!

For our first halloween celebration... we went to a Mad hatter birthday party (Alice in Wonderland) for our good friend Aaron!   I looked everywhere to find ryan an outfit for the mad hatter or the king of hearts but couldn't find anything.  So, he ended up being the bunny that can't be late for a very important date! I think it turned out really well, even though he kinda looks like a chippendale dancer with his jacket off!   And I was Alice in Wonderland, I just used my costume from last year for dorothy and made an apron for it.

I loved Ryan's mini vest!  I went shopping at DI and the only vest that I could find was  a kids medium.  For some weird reason I thought it would fit him fine.  Well guess what it didn't end up fitting him too good, I had to make some major adjustments but it worked!

Me and Aaron's wife Kayti. She was the Queen of hearts, her costume turned out really good!

Here is Ryan with his old mission companion, Aaron, the birthday boy!  He was the perfect mad hatter!
Kayti did such a good job with all of the decorations,  lots of tea pots and yummy food!
Aaron blowing out his candles!  Happy Birthday!

And of course we all played a round of crocket.  I was horrible at it, and ryan beat me each time, oh well.

And Aaron and Kayti's cute nephew was there!

Thanks Aaron and Kayti for the fun party!  I'm glad we made it down and that we have you two as friends!

Brady & Sara's Wedding!

I should be preparing my relief society lesson for this sunday but I guess I have a hard time focusing on one thing for too long!  The lesson is on family, so why not post a blog about my brothers wedding?
Brady and Sara got married this past Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple.  The night before we had all of our family and most of Sara's family up to a cabin in
Brighton for a dinner.  My parents cooked some good texas brisket, and we had pies for dessert!  Little did we know that something in the dinner would cause food poisoning.  We think that it was the lemon pie, but still aren't sure?  So the night before the wedding about 6 people threw up throughout the night, including the bride, She still
 looked beautiful.

Enjoy some pictures from the wedding!....

The Groom and his Bride.
My mom gave Ryan and I strict instructions not to do this at our wedding!   Now I'm wishing he just did it anyways, oh well!

Our family up at the cabin for the dinner the night before.

The happy couple is now on their honeymoon in St. Thomas.  Oh how I wish we could go back on our honeymoon!

ER experience...

Yesterday, I was sewing a blanket.  I went to adjust the fabric when I accidently pushed down on the foot pedal and the needle went right through my finger!  At first I didn't realize that the needle went through my finger, because i just saw thread sticking out of my finger.  So i went to go pull out the thread, but it wouldn't come out then I realized the needle was sticking out the back of my finger so I laid down just in case I passed out and called my mom.  As I was calling my mom I passed out waking up 30 seconds later confused at what had just happened until I looked at my finger with a needle sticking out of the back. The bad part about this story is Ryan wasn't home, he was at work and would be at work till late.  So, I frantically called my dad who couldn't understand a word I was saying.  Then I went to one of our next door neighbors and had then drive me to the ER.  I then called Ryan at work and the bartender answer and I told him that I had an accident and was headed to the ER and wanted to talk to Ryan.  The bartender told Ryan what I said and then Ryan got on the phone and I broke down crying and he thought it was something way worse like a bad car crash.  Finally I got my act together to tell him what had happened, and he rushed to the ER.  At the Er they gave me a tetanus shot and numbed my finger because I wasn't about to let them just pull that needle out! a few minutes later they pulled the needle out.  Then they had to took a few X rays to make sure it was all out.  I'm so glad that Ryan was there, I really couldn't have gone through that without him!  I'm also really relieved that this whole experience is over with!!!  Now I have to have this awesome bandage on my finger for the next 24 hours.  Yippe.

Barnum & Bailey CIRCUS!

So our good friends Aaron and Kayti found out that the circus was in town and there was no way we were going to miss that! It was so fun to act like little kids again at the circus.  Although this was Ryan and I's first time ever to the circus!  We loved it, and were pretty sad when it was all over!  They did it all from, dogs doing back flips to two human rocket launchers, to elephants on their heads, and people getting cut in half!  I still don't get how they do all those magic tricks! At the beginning they made an elephant disappear just by saying zing zang zoom!!!
The Elephants were our favorite part!  It's amazing what they can train these animals to do!

Love the hat Aaron!  (He wore that hat the whole show!)

Tigers standing on the rear legs. Amazing. That guy is insane though.

We were just a little too excited that we were at the circus, and got some cotton candy with a cool hat!

Here's a little preview of how excited we were at the circus!
