Jaimee's Baby Shower!

Last Saturday was Jaimee's baby shower. Aunt Karen and I threw the shower for her and had a lot of fun getting things ready for it. There is so much that goes into planning a baby shower that you don't even realize. I also had so much fun shopping for gifts for jaimee's girl, there were so many cute outfits and accessories I just wanted to buy it all!

We had lot of yummy food! My favorite was the yogurt parfaits.

Jaimee got so many cute outfits and accessories for the baby! She only has about 5 weeks left until the baby is finally here! We are all getting really excited to finally have a kid in the family.

I decided to try and make a quilt for Jaimee. This is actually the quilt I was making when the needle went through my finger. I didn't touch the quilt until a week before the shower because I was a little bit scared to sew after that experience.

The Giffith and Moore side of the family... they are such great in laws!
Susan and Hannah were able to come over to Utah for the baby shower. They stayed for the whole weekend and it was fun to spend some time with both of them even though Ryan and I had to work our jobs part of the time.

What we have been up to!

It has been such a long time since i've posted anything. Ryan and I have just been so busy lately with work and school. So, I'll just tell you what exactly we have been up to. Ryan is now working 2 jobs. He works for olive garden still on the weekends and then during the week he works for a company called Premier Mentoring doing sales for them and has really liked working there. It's a pretty laid back job and the people that work on his team are really nice guys. He is planning on quitting at the Olive Garden this weekend though because it's just not very fun to work every day of the week and not have any weekends. Plus he is starting to make pretty good money at his other job... that's why he kept the olive garden job just to make sure we had an income because his new job is all commission.

I am work at Texas Roadhouse as a server, I actually like working there. Although I can't wait till I can get a dental type job. I'm taking my last semester of classes for my pre-reqs to the dental hygiene school. For those of you who knew, I had an interview with a dental hygiene school in November and they said they would let me know if I get into the school within 6 weeks well it ended up taking them 4 months to get back to me so I just found out. The news was that I am an alternative, meaning if someone else backs out for the may starting date then I get the spot. I wasn't too happy about that but I also don't want to pay $50,000 to go to that school when I could pay $10,000 at another school and just wait another year. So my plan is after this semester is to take a year off maybe go to dental assisting school which is only a 10 week program only on Saturdays and then work as a dental assistant till I get into a school.

Some exciting news that happened to me almost 2 weeks ago.... Since I love my brother-in-law so much I agreed to getting my blood drawn for him. I have a life insurance plan through him and if I got my blood drawn then it helped him out a lot. I'm sure most of you know that Needles are my BIGGEST fear! My whole life I've past out from any type of shot especially getting my blood drawn. So, I faced my biggest fear hoping that it would help me overcome it, and it didnt!!! The lady went through my vein because I have "rolling veins" which ended up causing a big bruise. I'll have to admit that it didn't hurt too bad just a hard pinch but the after math was the worst!! Right after she took the needle out my face went pale and I could feel myself about to past out. The next thing I know I am shaking uncontrollably. It was not a fun experience and I hope I don't have to go through it for a long time. I don't know if I'll be able to make it through a pregnancy, yikes that's not a good thing.

I don't no if anyone will even read all of this because there are no pictures but lastly I'll just tell you what we did for Valentine's day (sorry I don't have any pictures) We celebrated Valentine's day on Saturday so that we could go out and do something. Ryan had to work both of his jobs that Saturday from 11 till 6 and then when he got off we went out to eat at the cheese cake factory and then went to go see the movie Valentine's Day, which was a horrible movie no story line at all. All in all it was a good valentine's day I just wish Ryan didn't have to work both of his jobs.

We'll that's it for now and hopefully I'll be posting pictures soon...

Let's Rodeo San Antonio!!!

The most fun time of year is beginning in San Antonio!!! For the next couple of weeks they have a really fun Rodeo every night with famous country singers performing after the rodeo along with a carnival outside! I can't wait till I can take Ryan to go see the Rodeo sometime in San Antonio! My family and all my friends back home along with their families are going this weekend to go see Tim McGraw perform, SO JEALOUS! Sometimes I wish I could just snap my fingers and be where ever I wish....

Ryan's 25!!

Yesterday was Ryan's 25th birthday!! We both had school and work off for the whole day, which was really nice! We started off our day by sleeping in, and then I made Ryan an omelet for breakfast... we didn't have enough eggs for me to have one so I let Ryan have it on his birthday! I'm such a nice wife ha. Ryan opened his presents soon after and got lots of nice clothes, a game from my mom, money, and a soccer game for his xbox! Then we went to workout together which is always fun!

Here he is with some of his new clothes and his new favorite xbox game!
Later that night we went with our friends out to eat at tepanyaki's!! It was so fun, and soooo good! We were the only ones in the whole restaurant by the time we got our food! The chef guy throws shrimp at you to catch in your mouth and we all caught it, it took me two tries though! Thanks again Aaron and Kayti!
I made Ryan a really good triple chocolate bundt cake for his birthday! (Wow, this picture makes it look like i'm 6 months pregnant... and I don't know why. But I don't think i'll be eating much of this chocolate cake!)

Then Ryan blew out his candles and made a wish... I think he wished for us to both get jobs, Because we both got jobs today! Ryan got a job with a place called premier mentoring and he will be doing sales for them. And, I got a job with Ryan's cousin working at an academy for girls that are having emotional type problems. Ryan's cousin is the therapist there! We're both hoping that these jobs are good ones, but are just glad to have them!

Anyways, I'm so grateful for Ryan in my life... and am really glad that 25 years ago he came into this world. He is my other half and don't know what I would do with out him.

I Love you. Happy 25th Birthday!

All Settled in...

After a full day of moving and another 2 days of unpacking we are finally all moved into our new love shack. We really like our new place a lot, now. When we first got here it was about 6 at night (so dark out). When we got into our apartment the front room & our bedroom didn't have any lights. Later we figured out that if you plug a lamp in then the light switch works with that. So there's nothing more to complain about. The location of our apartment is great! We live right behind Ikea and I mean right behind, we have been there everyday besides Sunday since we moved in! Ryan got his transfer with the olive garden all worked out today and he starts tomorrow, and I started school today!

Here is our living room, it's a little tight with our big couches but it works good for us.
The kitchen is really nice, it's probably my favorite part of our apartment.
Dining RoomAnd we have a built in desk which is really nice.

The bathroom is really nice we finally have a jacuzzi sized tub and really high ceilings. I guess you'll have to come visit us if you want to see the rest. We're so happy to be living down here in Draper, it's such a nice area and has everything that we need. Including Zupas, Fazoli's, In-N-Out burger I could go on and on. I love this place!!!

Bye Bye Logan...

Tomorrow is the big move! Today is going to be a stressful day, trying to finish up a never ending cleaning list from our landlord and getting everything else done that we need too. On top of that we both still have to work today!
We have really loved Logan, it will always be a special place for us because it's where we met and started living our lives together. But, I know that this move will be a good thing for us. Ryan got an internship with Real Salt Lake, the sales position that he wanted got filled with an intern so were hoping that this will turn into a good job. (he will continue to work at the olive garden). I will be going to school, and I will probably be getting a job at Texas Roadhouse just until I can get my Dental Assisting job. I'm hoping that I will get that job in February, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

We're sure sad to be leaving our favorite little boy... I just had to add this picture in somehow because I thought it was so cute! Someday he'll be a good dad.

This Christmas Season...

We bought a Christmas tree and decorated it! Last year we couldn't have a Christmas tree because our little basement apartment ceilings were a little low. We didn't buy a big tree because there wasn't really enough room in our front room, so we thought this one would do for this year!
We had a Christmas party at our house with some of our neighbors and friends. I sent out 10 invitations thinking maybe half of the couples would come since it was so close to Christmas and everyone in Utah usually goes home to their parents house right when school gets out. But, Luckily all of the couples but 2 showed up and we had a packed house! Our Christmas party turned out to be a lot of fun!
We of course wore ugly sweaters.... Us with our friends Jake and Courtney.
We had a white elephant gift exchange...
and our neighbor Justin opened the best present of all...

After all of this we played this Christmas family feud game that I had put together. It was a really fun game, everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Ryan got to try out his new golf clubs! Here is Logan they have this new indoor virtual golf course (Since it snows pretty much all year round here). Ryan LOVED it, it was pretty cool. You got to pick from 20 different golf courses around the world, they played pebble beach in California. What you do is just hit your ball like you would normally do and then when the ball hits the screen it, the ball keeps going.
Ryan went with his friend from work, Rob. Who is a pro golfer, he plays in different cups and wins money, he is way good!! He also offered to give Ryan a golf lesson because he is starting to teach lessons and wants to practice on someone.

Last but not least.... I TURNED 21!!!

Ryan was the best husband ever to me on my 21st birthday! He is really good at surprising me, every year I never know what he is getting me. I asked for this shirt and he made it sound like I for sure wasn't going to get it because the website was never working. I also asked for another shirt, but it was sold out when he went on. Then a few days later I got on to see what they had and the shirt was back on the website but they only had one left and it was in my size! And then, in the next 5 minutes it was gone, I was really sad. But Ryan came through again and he was the one to buy the last one :) He also got me mario brothers wii... I've loved it so far!! Even though I get really frustrated when I keep dying, it's so much fun I always want to be playing.Ryan took me out to eat at my favorite restaurant, Takara Sushi! We got a really good deal, we got 3 sushi rolls and edamame all for $29.99 it was called the Aggie combo! It saved us a little more than $10. The red scarf I'm wearing was a gift from Ryan's family, Susan made it! And I'm wearing the boots that my parents got me for my birthday! My mom got a good deal on those too they were originally $60 and we got them for $25 plus shipping! I love getting good deals!! Then Ryan took me to get Spoon me!!! Since it was my birthday I got it for free! They also gave me a sticker that said "it's my birthday, spoon me!"

We also made some cupcakes and played mario bro. wii that night!

Thanks love for my wonderful 21st birthday!
