Fun trip to the Zoo!

I'm still putting up pictures from christmas break, i just havn't been able to get all of them up quite yet.   But, this is all of us at the zoo!  We also brought along with us, Justin.  Justin is an amazing kid that my dad mentors at a middle in downtown san antonio.  Ryan and I also got to go with my dad to visit Justin at his school while we were home.   My family is very grateful to have him in our lives, and be take him to do something that he has never been able to do.

Yes, i know.... VERY ugly. Good thing we don't really look like that!

I thought i would take a picture of a hippo because i know that Jaimee really wanted a hippo for christmas, and i'm not sure that she got one. So, I hope that this makes up for it!

Our very favorite animal at the zoo was that silly monkeys!  They are so entertaining, i've always wanted a pet monkey.

For some reason we still have a lot of fun feeding the ducks :)

These were some crazy birds, that were making the strangest sounds.

Yummmy...  The best burger that you will ever eat!  At a hole in the wall, called Chris Madrids.

We got to see EVA Longoria Parker!

Ryan and I went to a spurs game while we were in Texas.  We had really good seats, and a good view of Eva! Although the Spurs lost by 1 point at the very end of the game, It was still a lot of fun.

Here is a picture of Eva leaving the game a little early so that we wouldn't run up to her and bombard her.  (She is in the middle of the picture, it's kinda hard to see her.)Yes, We thought about it.    It was funny because these girls behind us knew her whole life story and were talking about her the whole time, we learned a lot about her.

20th Birthday!

I had such a fun 20th birthday!  My birthday was over christmas break, so we were still in texas.  We went to P.F. Changs for my birthday dinner, and then afterward went to the River Walk downtown!
My husband is amazing! He got me that gray pea coat that I am wearing for my birthday.  I love love love it!  My best friend Kady & her mom also came with us out to eat.  Kady and I both share the same birthday, we were both born in Texas about 40 minutes apart, we were meant to be best friends. I'm very grateful for her!
This is me opening my present from kady, it was a big bag!
All of us at the River Walk.   It was so beautiful down there with all of the christmas lights.

We also got to visit the place that we stayed the night of our wedding!!!  It brought back lots of good memories and it was fun to visit it again.   I'm so thankful for all of my friends and family for making my birthday perfect.  I enjoyed talking to my mother-in-law and Eric and Hannah also, they are such amazing people.

HOT Texas Christmas!

Yep, this is what all us country folks wear down in texas...

Ryan and I both had such a good time down in Texas for the holidays.  While we were there the temperature was around the 70's almost the whole time!  We enjoyed the weather while we could.  We just got back to logan a couple days ago, and I think that the weather change made us both really sick, saturday i had a fever of 102, and then i passed it off to ryan!  We're starting to feel a little better, but it wasn't a very good way to start off our semester...
We have a tradition of always getting new pajamas on Christmas Eve. This year Ryan and Brady got some good looking Pj's and it took me a little bit to adjust to mine. They were a little bit different than what i usually wear for pj's.   Whenever i had them on the boys would keep mooing at me, i guess i kinda do look like a cow.  My Grandpa Scott got all of us Don't Mess with Texas hats!  What a nice guy.

This is our Christmas tree after santa claus came for a visit.

Santa was very good to us! I got a new cell phone, and we got the Wii Fit board with the new Shaun White snowboarding game. We've had a lot of fun playing with our Wii.

My Grandma and Grandpa Scott came up from Harlingen to spend the holidays with us!
Making holiday treats, Carmels.  They are very very good, and very very fatty.

We visited Whoville!

At the Hill Country Hyatt they made Whoville all out of candy, it was pretty cool and looked very delicious...  Here is a list of everything that went into making Whoville...

When we went to visit Whoville we also go to roast marshmallows. The fireplace was huge!!

A tradition whenever we go back to San Antonio is to go eat at Rudy's.  It is honestly the best bar-b-q in the world!  Look at that pile of deliciousness.
We got to play a little bit of Football too.  My dad tested out his kicking skills and so did Ryan and Brady.    We really enjoyed our holiday break, it flew by way too fast. Now we're back to reality...

Turkey weekend!

After weeks and weeks of school and work, a thanksgiving break was just what we needed. We got to go to Longmont, CO to be with Ryan's family this year. It was so much fun and a very relaxing vacation. I got to meet some of Ryan's family members for the first time, and really enjoyed getting to know them all. It's good to know he has some Texas roots in his family - "Paul and Toni".

Over this break, we ate lots of turkey and had lots of goodles (leftovers, a new word we learned over the break). The food was delicious, i could tell because i am at my heaviest weight ever right now! Which isn't a bad thing, Thanks Susan for your wonderful cooking skills.

After dinner, we all crashed for a couple hours. This doesn't look like the most comfortable position for me, but i guess it was. I don't even remember falling asleep.

We also, played lots and lots of football. The perfect thing to do over thanksgiving. Although i'm not too talented when it comes to football, it was still a lot of fun. And of course we went shopping, played video games, played games, and watched movies. Oh ya and got slurpees from 7 -11 :)

To wrap up our trip to colorado, we got snow!!! It was the cherry on top of a perfect week! Thanks Mike and Susan, for taking all of us in and sharing your home with us.
